Yes this never crossed my mind to think of keys as tribute to people or events. Now it seems like it in a way is something who ever it came from it was with them more then anything except wedding rings and watches or glasses.

Not just for value but to create the history of it. 100 years from now it will be such an interesting piece of history, for a family member or a collector. The supporting documentation will help tell the story, maybe even frame it or create a shadow box with those documents and the key?
